The Core Facility SOPs: a collection of protocols intended to standardize and teach techniques for lake core retrieval, documentation, and analysis.

Free or low-cost support to paleolimnological research (field, laboratory, curation) provided by the NSF-funded National Lacustrine Core Repository and Core Analysis Facility (LacCore).

Other services available to academic researchers through LRC facilities include pollen sample preparation, pollen analysis, carbon coulometry, loss-on-ignition, grain size, and other routine sediment analyses. Please contact Amy Myrbo, Core Lab Manager, for cost estimates.
